Privacy Policy

AstroYogam processes the birth details you enter: name, date, time, and place. If sign-in is enabled, your account identity is handled by our authentication provider. If you opt in to notifications, a push subscription is stored so we can deliver them. Your language and theme preferences are kept in your browser's local storage.

Your birth details and charts are encrypted in your browser before they are sent to the server. The server stores only the encrypted form and cannot read your data.

To produce plain-language explanations, the app sends the computed chart and panchangam data to an AI service, which processes it under its own terms. In production, third-party analytics also receive page and usage signals (see Cookies, advertising, and tracking). Your end-to-end-encrypted vault contents are not sent to analytics.

AstroYogam does not store your palm photo. It is processed transiently to extract palm observations and is sent transiently to Gemini or Vertex for that analysis, under the provider's terms. A short-lived structured reading artifact—not the photo—is retained for up to 30 minutes so you can view the report, PDF, or Ask follow-up, and is automatically deleted after that.

When sign-in is enabled, a third-party authentication provider manages your login. We receive only the account identifier needed to associate your encrypted data with you.

If you enable notifications, your browser's push subscription is stored solely to send the alerts you asked for. You can turn notifications off at any time.

AstroYogam does not show advertising, does not use third-party advertising trackers, and does not sell your data.

We use essential cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in (through our authentication provider) and to remember your language and theme. In production we also use Google Analytics 4 (page views and usage metrics) and Microsoft Clarity (session replay, heatmaps, and interaction diagnostics) to understand how the product is used and to improve it. These tools set their own cookies or similar storage. We do not use them for advertising. We do not send birth details or end-to-end-encrypted chart payloads as analytics event parameters; session replay may still capture what is visible on screen during a visit.

Encrypted person data is stored as a single record per person on our servers. We do not run a first-party analytics database that profiles in-app activity. Third-party analytics (Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity) receive page and usage signals in production as described above, not your encrypted vault contents or birth details.

You may request that your stored data be deleted. Because your data is end-to-end encrypted, losing your passphrase means it cannot be recovered.

AstroYogam is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
